Experience
Waiter Nov 2014Present The Red Snapper Durango, Co Properly introduce myself and see if patrons have dined previously at The Red Snapper. Next present seafood features prepared by the chef for the evening. Ask patrons if their content with water only or if they would like to start with a cocktail. After a few minutes of reviewing then menu and when customers close all their menus, i retrieve their appetizer and entree orders, and bring them complementary sour dough and corn bread.  Properly input orders into our POS (aloha) and determine when to fire their order in congruence with how quickly their eating their appetizers or salads. As the food is plated i deliver it to the table always starting with the women and children first then whoever i anticipating paying then the rest of the table. After the food is delivered; i prebuss from right to left and give patrons some time before i return to check the quality of the food. When all are completed with their dinner i clear the table and ask if coffee and dessert is a consideration for the evening. If not then i deliver the check and collect payment from customer. 
Lead Line Cook / Expoditer Dec 2014Apr 2015 Dantes' Backside Bistro Durango, Co At Dantes' Backside Bistro i followed proper opening prodcedures and setup the kitchens line accordingly. Next i would devise a prep list of what more was needed for that days lunch service. The items that are being prepped we would ensure scaling and bagging to keep accurate portion control for the food items and date/label accordingly. After everything was prepped as much as possible before the rush i would inform the servers of what menu items are needed to be put on a count; and what the daily special will be. During the rush the other cooks and myself would  plate food in proper order with coordination with ticket in the most time efficient manner possible. As the lunch rush ends, we break down the line and practice proper food handling skills, wrapped, and not time/temperature abused the food items as we store them for next days lunch. A detailed scrub of appliances, sweep,mop, trash, and walk through a days work is complete.

Cake Decorator Mar 2012May 2012 Sweetbay Ft Myers , Fl Duties included building, sculpting and decorated cakes for custom orders (birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, etc) also made sure display was full stocked and rotated, created specials for items getting close to their expiration date, and noted what needed to be transferred to another store and was in need of ordering soon. Unfortunately i left this job in a short period of time because my significant other and i split and i decided to move back to my home town where their were no sweetbay grocery stores.

(9pm-5am) solo job. Efficiency was a must to be able to properly complete this job. I was capable of completing a $2000+ bake solo in the 8 hr period. cleaning stocking rotating and par baking certain items for back- up for daily service was another part of my job duties. This job was only for my externship for college and was my only choice because my significant other and i shared a car during this time and both had to complete externships. Very fun, Labor intensive, and the only corporate job i have held in my career.
