  • Assist Retinal Surgeons in Injection, Cryo procedures, Lasers and Fluorescein.      
  • Measure visual acuity, including near, distance, pinhole, or dynamic visual acuity, using appropriate tests.
  • Operate ophthalmic equipment, such as autorefractors, tomographs, or retinoscopes.
  • Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
  • Assist physicians in performing ophthalmic procedures, including injections, cryo, and laser, ect. 
  • Photograph patients' eye areas, using clinical photography techniques, to document retinal or corneal defects.
  • Create three-dimensional images of the eye, using computed tomography (CT).
  • Conduct tests, such as the Amsler Grid test, to measure central visual field used in the early diagnosis of macular degeneration, glaucoma, or diseases of the eye.
  • Perform fluorescein angiography of the eye.
  • Document or evaluate patients' medical histories.
  • Educate patients about maintenance and promotion of healthy vision.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
