  • 2004 - 2014 Parcel Segment Engineer - Consumer Responsibility - UPS and assisted with other Parcel customers; Fed Ex, DHL, & USPS when there were an overload of projects. Project planning of proposed changes, new concepts to increase delivery efficiency, and field issues. New concepts implemented: keyless entry, folding shelf package, new ingress/egress safety equipment, GPS, backup camera systems, noise reduction, cost cutting body assembly concepts, and better airflow without adding air conditioning. These were designed using SolidWorks 3-D modeling and a staff of designers. Developed the testing program and schedule, followed by field testing and feedback, production process and time study to align with production expectations.
  • 2002 - 2004 HVAC Engineer & Parcel Segment Engineer - Consumer Responsibility - GSA, Spee-Dee Delivery Service, USPS & DHL   HVAC responsibility - Responsible for chassis manufacturer's changes of compressors, hose routing, & engines to locate new components, implement new installation procedures, developed test programs to ensure heating and cooling systems met customer expectations.
  • 1998 - 2002 USPS contract for 21,239 Post Office delivery vehicles on Ford Explorer chassis. Worked with a team to develop, test, prototype build, field evaluate, convert plant, implement a Ford compatible quality program, solved production and parts delivery problems to support production rate of 70 vehicles per day.
  • 1997 - 1998 UPS development program for a new body style for P70 delivery van and to qualify as a UPS supplier.
  • 1994 - 1997 Advanced Engineering Manager for designing, testing and implementation of new body design that standardized manufacturing process.
  • 1991 - 1994 Chief Engineer for Aeromate Walk-In product - Developed solutions for body and chassis changes, cost reductions, and testing until product was terminated in June 1994. Design tool was 2-D CADRA.
  • 1990 - 1991 General design engineer developing new options for Walk-In customers in all usage categories: baking and bread, laundry, utilities, parcel delivery, and municipality applications. Drafting tool was 2-D IBM CADAM.

Managed a design team concerned with over-the-road tractors, their field and production problems and replacement part issues. The teams consisted of designer, drafter, purchasing agent, customer service associate, a test engineer and an design engineer. Problems with highway trucks are related to vibration and harmonics. Exhaust supports, suspension components, engine mounts, hood components, lighting and frame members failed in the field. To solve the problems required field trips, part analyzing, testing to duplicate the failure, development of field and production solutions, documentation, new part analysis, release, and implementation.
