Experience:
Regional Terminal Manager Apr 1986Jun 2014 U.S. Oil Co.,Inc. Combined Locks, WI Starting out with U.S. Oil I was hired as a transport driver delivering petroleum products throughout Wisconsin and Michigan. Responsibility of a transport driver included maintaining DOT compliance, following company safety policies, managing all environmental compliance aspects of hauling and delivering petroleum products.  The job of transport driver entailed driving a tractor trailer in all sorts of weather and conditions. In August 1990 promoted to terminal manager of our Green Bay Products terminal.  As terminal manager my main focus was to keep all of the different operation processing functioning properly 24/7. Along with maintaining the many different processes of the terminal I was also responsible for controlling the liquid inventory at this site. Incoming pipelines, load rack liftings, tank integrity, wastewater system, and environmental control units associated with this site. I was the only person working at this site and on call 24hours a day.April 1995 I became responsible for another terminal in Green Bay. This was our Quincy Street terminal. Along with keeping the duties from the Green Bay Products terminal, I managed the Quincy Street terminal. My new job duties included managing a marine berth at this facility. This lead to a whole new world of Coast Guard regulations and security training.  I also started managing two additional associates who helped me with my increased responsibility.  Along with the two additional associates came the responsibility of scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when needed.March 2002 U.S. Oil acquired a third terminal in Green Bayfrom BP. This former Amoco site was the same size as the two previous facilities.  Along with the extra workload of operating a facility of this size, the number of associates also increased.  September 2007 U.S. Oil retained the operations of another terminal in Green Bay.  This terminal was not purchased but leased from Buckeye Pipeline of Ohio.  This was the former ExxonMobil in Green Bay. This increased the size of our operations by another 35%.August 2009 U.S. Oil purchased a terminal located in Cheboygan Michigan. I took over the responsibilities of overseeing that facility as well as the others. This terminal is located 5 hours from Green Bay which elevated the difficulty of managing this asset.
Driver Apr 1981Mar 1986 Waste Managment, Inc. Green Bay, WI My work experience prior to accepting the position with Waste Managment made me the prime candidate for the position of relief driver. My main duties as a driver was to represent the company in a clean and professional manner while following strict safety and regulatory policies.  Then when a driver would take time off from work, I was assigned the job of filling in and running his routes with minor disruptions in service.  This entailed not only learning all of the locations and routes that needed to be serviced, I also had to learn the operational aspects of each and every vehicle in the fleet.  I really enjoyed the challenge of doing this job but I was contacted by one of the owners of U.S. Oil co. to come and work for them. After a few meetings with Bill Schmidt, I deceided to leave Waste Managment for a job and career at U.S. Oil.
Manager/Driver Jul 1977Apr 1981 Towne Disposal Suamico , WI After graduating High School I was employed at Towne Disposal. My duties included maintaining a small fleet of vehicles, scheduling routes and drivers, backup driver whenever needed.  I left Towne Disposal to further my career with a larger waste disposal company.
