Direct Procurement
  • Procures materials and third party rental equipment based on project needs.
  • Procures complex equipment per the engineered design. 
  • Negotiates service and construction contracts. 
  • Obtains and reviews potential supplier and subcontractor information for Prequalification. Areas of review include safety, insurance, financial stability, construction capabilities and quality.  
  • Identifies and develops relationships with local suppliers while also maintaining relationships with vendor participating in OCI's Preferred Supplier Program. 
  • Works closely with the Project Manager to forecast needs based on the project schedule and product lead times. 
  • Manages the logistics of deliveries to the job site. 

Proposal & Subcontracts Support
  • Prepares, issues and supports the bidding process.
  • Solicits budgetary pricing for materials, equipment and labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a project. 
  • Manages the proposal evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation and collaborates with engineering regarding the technical evaluation. Makes recommendations for selected short list bidders and who to award. 
  • Schedules, coordinates and manages the negotiation process. Resolves simple and moderately complex commercial terms and conditions exceptions. 
  • Manages the award and conforming process. 

Analysis and Process Improvement
  • Conducts analysis of the processes Procurement has a stake in to identify shortcomings and suggest areas for improvement. 
  • Performs supplier analysis to grade the suppliers performance in terms of pricing, on-time delivery and purchase order discrepancies. 
  • Conducts product and industry analysis to determine trends relating to pricing, lead times and new technologies. 
  • Participates in special project teams with focused on improving the company as a whole.
