Professional Summary
I feel over the last 28 years I've acquired a good reputation as a hard working, seasoned pressman.  I've worked with many different types of machinery from the small 1 color Hamada to the 6 and 7 color Kimori and Heidelberg, and even ran some Hamilton web presses with split towers and double webs.  I've always found I enjoy the challenge of learning a new press or new system of manufacturing something, everywhere I've worked I have always tried to keep up with the latest technical advances as well as maintaining some of the tried and true methods.  I work well with everyone, I'm friendly, I always try to help out if possible, and I'm never late I firmly believe in being on time, and ready to work.
Skills
  • Mechanical - I have high mechanical skills, growing up on a farm I was taught preventive maintenance, and have a working knowledge of most machinery and the tools it takes to maintain them.
  • Computers and Electronics - Having been an electrician in the Navy I have a working understanding of most circuits and their related systems. As for computers I have had some exposure to maintenance programs and can operate the press computer systems, I am also familiar with Shopnet which is used for tracking press personnel work flow.
  • English Language - I feel I have very good language skills, although I currently do not speak any foreign languages, having worked with coworkers from different countries I can speak a few words and have never had a problem getting a point across.
  • Education and Training - The majority of my pressroom training has been on the job over a 28 year period.
  • Critical Thinking - Over the years I've become very good at problem solving, looking at a situation and figuring out how to make something work or how to make that same thing work better even with limited resources.
