Demonstration of straw hat making, felt work and other hat making skills. Teach hands on workshops during school education days at various historical events, including Big Island Rendezvous in Albert Lea, Minnesota.; work as a tradeswoman and demonstrator during rest of festivals.
Teach both adult and children's courses in millinery, hand sewing, life cycle of chickens, chicken care, "guess our use" history lessons on historical objects.
Speak to adult groups on homesteading and hats as fashion and necessity.
Past and Present Millinery -
Design, create all variety of hats, mainly via custom orders. Work directly with the customer to determine style, period, and design of the hat. Handwork in the sewing and creation of the hat from the form to the finished project. Have worked with Denver Bespoke to do certain specific millinery projects for their customers. Primary focus is on historical accuracy.

Living History Farms -
Third person interpretation/discussion of various historical sites based in 1875. Taught various school groups at the various sites; both 15 minute lessons and one hour enrichment programs with hands-on applications. During general season, talk to visitors, discuss and compare 1875 small agriculturally-based town life with modern agriculturally based towns. Experienced in print shop, millinery, broom maker and general store sites. Taught adult education classes during the winter months in millinery and ribbon art.

Taught in the At Risk program at West High School in Davenport, Iowa, as well as taught American History. Preparation, presentation, and grading of an American History course, a general Social Studies course, and a general Math course. Taught course in Introduction to Sociology in summer school, summer of 2000.
Fill in for teachers during their absence. Follow their lesson plans; make my own when none are available, classroom management. had several Long Term Substituting assignments.
