  • This position included a year-long deployment (2012-2013) to United Arab Emirate as an Ammunitions Non Commissioned Officer performing the same duties during Operation Enduring Freedom.
  • Duties: stored, handled, received, distributed and shipped munitions and established proper distances in accordance with the regulation between storage areas and populated areas and travel points.

 

  • In charge of handling over 75,000 rounds of small arms and over 200 projectile missile rounds: Inventoried and maintained proper records on all munitions on hand weekly, involved in loading all military vehicles on and off freight boats and transportation trucks and was honored for excellence in exceptional work ethic and mission accomplishment.

 

  •  Assisted in the receipt, storage, issue, maintenance, modification, destruction and demilitarization of explosive items; performed ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using automated procedures; assists in the preparation of transportation of ammunition components and explosives.

 

  • Ensured transportation vehicle was to standard prior to ammunition pick up and drop off.

 

  • Inspected the vehicle and all ammunition prior to receipt and turn in of ammunition.

 

  • Completed all paperwork necessary to receive and turn in all ammunition.

 

  • Performed on the spot checks to ensure accuracy of all ammunition and spent shells and rounds prior to picking up and turning in ammunition.

 

  • Supervised the ammunition detail on all qualification ranges or field operations and ensured detail was properly trained on accountability and handling of all ammunition.

 

  • Supervised lower grade Soldiers and provided technical guidance to the Soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties.
