Assistant winder operator ,paper can factory , Operating a winder and help assist in every daily task to make as much cans as we can and do it safe but consistently to perform well for our company and ultimately for the customer, i would always keep materials full at all times such as paper rolls , label rolls, glue and,perform quality checks cleaning sanitizing machines for start ups running new machines and also learned how to be a paco machine operator and help to run the winder machine in its daily operation and help with maintenance duties and trouble shoot breakdowns so the mechanic knows what tools and replacement parts to get .changeovers were required multiple times a day. i would occasionally run the line by myself if a operator called in sick or went to lunch when i started the plant was at the time installing three lines from a plant that shut down and i was involved and trained in the start up process setting up these machines and gettting them to work and til we were finally shipping out orders was about 6 months for these new lines and although this plant has more orders for cans than they can make so it was a constant struggle but me and my operator as a team were able to keep up with customer demands . and these cans are made at this location . Abbot Similac baby formula cans, oil cans, frozen juice, coffee cans, 7 eleven sugar and creamer cans etc. During my employment with Sonoco products company there has been a high demand for excessive overtime 12 hour shifts mon-sun since my start date 3 days off a month was the norm-more than a year later i have resigned from my position and currently looking to pursue a career elsewhere

As an Machine operator i was mainly assigned to run the VR , this machine is dual parison 18 station blow molding machine rotating vertically , Graham is a plastic extrusion blow molding company the primary customer at this location is Abbott and they make bottles for shamrock farms as well ..our Abbott lines run poly pro material we have 7 resins that make our product.for the ensure bottle, I also run a 20 station dual parison graham wheel and we also have another similar wheel with just single parison producing the same product. bottles we make for Shamrock Farms ,8oz and a 12 oz bottle the plants newest addition is a Techne machine also producing shamrock bottles i was required to changeover frequently as request from our customer.I am responsible for repairs on my assigned machine and occasionally need assistance from our shop mechanics when its neccesary . when not working on the machine changing out valves, broken or damaged parts , trouble shooting issues I am mostly testing bottles such as weight, overflow, dimension measurements using a Magna Mike probe gauge and doing visual attributes. and i always maintain a clean safe work environment and keep safety as my top priority and consistently meet productions goals.I have done many product changeover's and new machine projects , I was a member on the preventive maintenance crew performed Yearly Pm's .I am trained to operate the forklift.I have a great attendance record i am a self starter and a Team Leader. As lead Operator for 1 year

Performed variety of testing and inspection using digital caliper, height gauge, Magna mike thickness gauge, Microtome machine. also color checks, drop test and leak test. we collect a Group of samples on every machine for testing also used a microscope to verify the layers and certain materials were within spec limits .we use a visual bottle gauge an automated machine to visually measure the product.performed packed ware audits monthly so that the product going out can be inspected for defects as a last effort to eliminate bad product that is unacceptable for the customer.perform Inspections to ensure the customer doesn't get any defective bottles. i have done many qualification runs for new product start ups .

I was assigned to help the line operator in every daily task as a production assistant my job duties were too unjam all downstream equipment to minimize production loss and help keep the line clean .as palletizer operator i was responsible for hourly bottle inspections for our finished product.keep my area organized an make sure the bottles on pallets were in perfect order.operating a detabber machine that required all employees to stand mainly in one area for the 12 hour shift making sure the bottles get detabbed after the blow molding process. meeting production goals and ensuring the quality of the product was a major responsibility were a team effort in this position
