Perform maintenance to construct, alter, repair, maintain and demolish railroad tracks traveling in and around a 50 mile radius of Memphis. Work as a member of a 3 to 10 man mobile crew where we receive daily work assignments from a Track Foreman. Carry and place track materials using hand tools such as tie tongs, rail tongs, rail forks, shovels and jacks. Lift, position, remove and install railroad crossties in and around the track structure. Connect and disconnect rails using track wrenches, impact and power wrenches. Work in close association with heavy equipment by connecting, disconnecting and controlling material that is being moved and by directing the placement and removal of material. Perform shop maintenance which includes cleaning, inspecting, making minor repairs to machinery and equipment and ensuring their proper storage. Perform general cleaning of our shop area by sweeping, and removing trash when needed. Participate in safety meetings and was once elected tserve as the team Safety Captain on job sites ensuring the safety of my crew. Because of my due diligence, I reveived a Safety Award.

Connected and disconnected rails using various track wrenches. Moved, cleaned, and tamped ballast wthi shovels.
Cleaned, cut, and cooked meat, fish, or poultry in accordance with Army Regulations and recipes. Operated various pieces of kitchen equipment in preparation of the daily meals. Prepared and served meals to fellow soldiers in teh field and on the base. Cleaned and inspected galley equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure sanitary cleanliness and functional operation in accordance with Army Regulations. Washed pots, pans, dished, utensils, and other cooking equipment. Inventoried supplies and equipment. Performed supply ordering and restocking of meats, poultry, and other perishable and nonperishable items as needed.
