Warehouse Supervisor...
Lone Rock, WisconsinI am looking forward to getting back in the classroom and investing in the lives of my students, their families, and my school community.
I worked for the Saudi Aramco Schools (SAS) in Saudi Arabia. I served as a Kindergarten teacher for four years and a K4 teacher for the remaining three years of my employment with SAS. I was a lead teacher for the new K4 program that SAS began in 2011. My students were employees of the Saudi Aramco Oil Company and were very diverse. Within one classroom, it was not uncommon for me to have over ten nationalities represented!
During my employment with Saudi Aramco Schools I served as a member in the Special Service team. We met together to discuss students' needs, progress, and program. We also conferred and collaborated with general education classroom teachers to help develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of students with special needs.
I was also able to serve as team leader in both Kindergarten and K4 programs. This role requited me to meet with other teachers and administration to plan and schedule lessons and activities that would promote learning, following approved curricula.
It was also my responsibility to supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers. I implemented a weekly literacy and math program in which parents and administrators volunteered to come into the classroom and facilitate small group activities which reinforced and practiced classroom learning.
I was the Kindergarten teacher at Northlake Christian Schools. I enjoyed being able to adapt my teaching methods to meet each of my students at their varying needs and interests. I instructed students individually, in small groups, and in large groups. Students were given a variety of materials and resources to explore, manipulate, and use to promote learning. During this time, I also served as a Title 1 Math teacher for St. Tammany Parish. I served Kindergarten students in Math who needed extra Math enrichment and reinforcement. I prepared and implemented remedial programs for these students.

maintained accurate and complete student records, and prepared reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
This was my first teaching position and certainly "hooked" me to love the profession of teaching. I had 33 first graders in this classroom. All of my students, except one, were Honduran nationality and spoke little to no English. I provided a variety of materials and resources for my students to explore, manipulate, and use to promote learning throughout their school day. I planned and conducted activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and learning time to provide my students with many varied opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. I enjoyed planning and supervising class projects, field trips, visits by guests and other experiential activities to promote language learning among my students. Their favorite field trip was to a local Honduran bakery.
