Selected and coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, Short and Long-term disability, Life insurance and Dental insurance. Administer Unemployment, FMLA and ADA claims. Stay up-to-date regarding legal developments pertaining to employment practices and communicate relevant changes to supervisory personnel. Communicate and implement all required changes and updates to benefits information and health plans affecting employees.
Coordinate Human Resource functions for 120 salaried and hourly employees. Act as liaison interpreting and implementing employee policy and procedures. Coordinate monthly product training sessions. Maintain personnel files for all employees. Administrator for all Health Insurances, COBRA, Life Insurance, Long and Short Term Disability Insurance, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Flexible Spending Accounts, and 401(k) Contributions and Loans. Process biweekly payroll using Paychex and Paychex Online. Manage terminations, conduct orientations and prepare and file annual EEO-1 Report. Assist auditor on an annual basis reconciling payroll, annual bonus, pension funds, annual report and management of investments. Ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all transactions.
Responsible for weekly payroll transmission of up to 800 union employees. Adherence to union contract in regard to union dues, fees, vacation and holiday eligibility. Report absences and tardiness to Human Resource Department. Provide management with daily reports of line efficiencies. Assist in weekly orientations during peak summer season. Process unemployment claims and represent the company in disputes.
