Planet Fitness –

Working the front desk at Planet Fitness has several jobs that come along with it, but has a very relaxed atmosphere.
Since working out is a lifestyle choice, I often see the same members every shift I work, and then can form more personable relationships and motivate them as they strive to reach their goals in the gym.
My main priorities are to greet customers as they come and go, give tours to potential members, and answer any questions about what our facility has to offer. My job is to sign up members for the membership that suits them best. All of the staff is certified on all the equipment and completed a CPR course 02/15. When I'm not assisting customers my duties include cleaning in various areas of the gym such as; equipment, bathrooms, tanning beds, and floors. We also sell a large variety of useful things for members gym essential needs.

Hilton Garden Inn –
West Lafayette ,
IN
I started working at the Hilton as a server for the breakfast buffet that was held every morning from 5:30-11. I was then trained to cook the buffet due to the short staff in the kitchen. Cooking for the buffet, I was responsible for making omelettes and eggs any way preferred. I also made pancakes, waffles, and french toast. I was also given the opportunity to work at the front desk in which I would greet every visitor, check in/out guests, make reservations, issue keys, and welcome packets. I would also process guests payments for room charges, room service, and any other charges added to their room such as pantry items. The Hilton has a shuttle that runs from 8-4 every day within a three mile radius, in which all the staff was eligible to drive. Since most guests that stayed with us were not familiar with the area I would often recommend attractions and restaurants in the area.
