Recently graduated the 35 day Instructor Certification Course in the Wind River Range and recieved an "A" grade for the expedition in all areas (Leadership, Expedition Behavior, Risk Assessment and Management, Wilderness Education Skills, Outdoor Living Skills, Travel Skills and Environmental Studies.) The course consisted to two parts, part one was a 21 day expedition in the Southern Wind River Range covering 78 miles on snowshoes in deep snow with multiple river crossings and navigation in whiteout conditions. Part two was a 10 day intensive rock climbing camp on the "Split Rock" formation a large granite dome in central Wyoming's high desert. Received the highest possible instructor assessment, that of "Patrol Leader" and was certified as Master Educator for "Leave No Trace" principles.

A 28 year career as an infantry Marine with countless weeks leading and teaching in the field in austere environments on six of the seven continents including arctic operations and survival training in Norway and jungle operations and survival training in the Philippines. Additionally, underwent several months total of training and instruction in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in both summer and winter conditions including land navigation, rock climbing, rappelling, obstacle crossing (tyrollean traverse.)
