Professional Summary

     Although I'm experienced and trained in business, sales and customer service, I've always been involved in the arts. My marketing/management degree with an emphasis in fashion merchandising was a practical approach to an art. Since I was a child arts have been a hobby at the very least, and are still important to my personal well being.  I've been involved in dance since elementary school and currently still dancing at the well established, 7th St. Dance Studio. Other art forms I'm currently active in is creative writing.  In the past I've drawn, oil painted, been in choirs, bands, and designed my own clothing, my mother was a wonderful seamstress who inspired creativity. 
     As a mother of two children I've had the pleasure of experiencing both the arts, and athletics.  Our daughter has her bachelors in dance from the University of WY. Our son is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska Wesleyan, studying business and playing football.  I'm still involved with youth, 17 years as part of the Confirmation team, and MOMS (mothers of ministry sharing) at Holy Roasry. After 15 years of busy volunteering at St. Agnes; everything from school board to kitchen help, I stepped away from school volunteering, which was short lived. The next year we were voted in as an AHS Booster Officers.  I helped organize After Prom for years, chaired/organized meals for the football team, co-coached for AHS Dance Team, and offered where ever necessary. All great memories. With both kids off to college I've just completed paperwork to become a mentor through the Team Mates program.
      This small community has allowed me to experience several activities outside of school or church. I've been on the Arts Council board, joined a sorority, joined the ladies golf association, and recently I've given my name to help with any committee APS is in need of. I'm open to helping with causes that are important to children's education and to our community.
     It would be a pleasure to help arts continue to grow in rural Nebraska. I'm a lifelong cultural and art enthusiast. Keeping art alive in rural communities is important for cultural experiences we may not otherwise experience. Carnegie Arts Center is a lovely gem in the sand hills, highlighting arts in and outside our community. Contributing to the cultivation of Carnegie Arts Center would be refreshing and inspiring. The arts to me are outlets for creative development, necessary therapy for some, but best of all, sheer enjoyment for most of us.

The editor verifies the questions match the story, and makes any corrections or improvements to the story.  The editor then emails the surveys to the dealership.
