I'm currently the manager of Accounts Payable and Interim Manager for the Order Board section of Contracts.  I oversee the accounts payable section that processes over $385M in expenditures annually.  Managing 8 staff members.  These sections are responsible for ordering of large material items receiving and reconciling the delivery of every Purchase Order for the Department that is made up of 9 divisions.  Also responsible for expediting the payment of the orders received. Modifying encumbrances as well as setting up the the funding for a contract.  We work directly with the Department of Procurment Services and well as The Department of Finance with the City of Chicago.  I was the Project Manager for implementing a system for Electronic Invoicing that was launched in 2015 for the Department.  In 2014 I was the Budget Coordinator for 4 divisions. Document the departments invoicing procedures and provide training sessions for city vendors and contractors.  Generate yearend accrual reports for Department of Finance.

I managed the Records and Estimates section where $350M in vouchers were audited for 2015 while being in compliance with IDOT reimbursable projects. Oversee cost accounting which provide over $25M in labor billings reports and aging reports for receivables. Oversee the entry of 12,000 time tickets for CDOT personnel.  This section is responsible for setting up all funding for the department. Oversee the Accounts Payable section which processed over $380M in payments. Created an SOP for Payables to work in conjuction with the Ordering Section.

I managed the Accounts Payable section a staff of 3 for Bureau of Streets from 1998 - 2004 afterwhich time a became the manager for the Departments AP Section. Generate modifications for encumbrances for materials, heavy equipment and tools for the division.  Monitor contract expirations and submit all necessary documentation to Department of Procurement for needed changes to a contract/release.  Generate report for the status of contracts open/closed.  Organize the yearend close for the division.

In the Bureau of Streets I was responsible for processing payments encumbering funds for material orders.  Processing Invoices for Special PO's for the Division. Entering 3000 Hired Truck Sheets in the system monthly.  Reconcilling the Budget 31 report to pay Hired Truck Non-DPS Vendors.
