  • Maintaining an up to date and relevant archive of design inspiration and authentic vintage garments to be used in the development of new washes, destruction patterns, and prints.
  • Evaluating all samples for fit, measurements, design and construction details to ensure all garments meet technical/design standards and ensure products are developed in a manner consistent with manufacturer capabilities and design specifications.
  • Translating design concepts into specification packages, including: flat sketch with measurements, construction details, measurement specifications with appropriate tolerances and any predefined performance standards.
  • Facilitating on-going communication with vendors to ensure integrity of design-approved pre-production samples, including monitoring quality, responding to any technical questions, communicating any required changes.
  • Create technical packages through Excel based upon concepts by using flat technical CADs, construction detail call-outs, point of measurement specifications, grade rules and tolerances.  Determine if and when inspiration images/garments or patterns should be sent to vendor to help with development. 
  • Conducting fittings to record and enter all findings/revisions and clearly communicate those in tech package to determine and communicate next steps with vendor.  
  • Sending tech packs and tracking all steps of development through shared internal development charts from SMS to top of production.
