Responsible for the recruitment and development of college student-athletes. Primary role included assisting in the daily planning and execution of practice schedules, delegating roles amongst other coaching staff personnel and implementation of the defensive philosophy of our team. Other responsibilities included scouting, pre and post season conditioning, supervising spring and summer basketball camps/clinics and assisting in the planning and execution of an annual NFL Celebrity Golf Event as our main program fundraiser.

Co-Directed summer basketball camps under the banner of Northern California based NBA organizations (Golden State Warriors/Sacramento Kings). Primary responsibilities included, but not limited to, establishing and organizing daily camp instruction, supervision of staff personnel, daily oversight of campers (Ages 7-18) well-being and evaluation of both campers and staff performance. Camps were held at the Oakland Coliseum Arena (presently Oracle Arena) and in Squaw Valley, CA (Truckee, CA area).

Attended Santa Barbara City College and obtained an AA degree in the spring of 1985 (General Studies. Competed on the Men's Basketball program during the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons. Started every game for a legendary coach in what was one of the top Men's Basketball Programs during that era. Career record while playing two full seasons was 49-16, won two consecutive Western State Conference Championships, Co-Captained our State Runner-Up squad in 1983-84, named to WSC Honorable Mention Team in 1982-83 season, 1st Team All-League in 1983-84 season and earned the programs coveted Silk Award during the 1983-84 season. Earned a basketball scholarship to California State University, Northridge for 1984-85 season. Returned to Santa Barbara City College to complete AA degree during the 1985 spring semester.

Enrolled at San Jose State University in Fall semester of 1993 and attended through the Spring of 1994. Attempted to continue pursuit of BA degree in Marketing while coaching at DeAnza College and working various other part-time jobs. Had previously attended Fresno State University in 1986.
Fresno State University
Attended from Summer of 1985 through the Fall semester of 1986. Earned a spot on the Men's Basketball team as the only "walk on" chosen from a field of 50 competitors. Played for legendary Fresno State Coach Boyd Grant.
