I embarked on a career of being self employed  20 years ago, it started with something I thought was a simple solution for a an old industry...better telemarketers and leads for mortgage brokers and bankers.
I admit I had no idea this would take me to become so passionate about data analytics and audience development as well as a full scale direct marketing agency just a few years later...but that's what happened and I became an entrepreneur.
A title that as some know means a lot of things and a lot of work to accomplish goals you don't even know exist yet, so we began defining that strategy with a core goal, we would not provide any product/service unless it was built on data analytics.
So it began and we then began building new data models that were far superior to any data provider around, leveraging statisticians from groups such as NASA and Navy Intelligence, which lead to my partner and I founding Red Clay Media in 1997.
In addition to my work at Red Clay, I've consulted with companies such as Grooveshark and award-winning creative services agency Anomaly, among other major public and private companies such as the Fearless Group founded by advertising's true Mad Men.
This allowed me to grow learn more about how what we have been building could be applied successfully in advertising, publishing monetization, content as well as UEX and UI.
So 20 years later I am looking for the right company with similar beliefs and passion to become a part of,  to take these years of failures and successes in audience development and actionable data work with a team, grow that team so we can together become the leader in a confused but highly in demand space. As well as a tremendous profit center.

CEO & Co-Founder Nov 2012Present Gocella Jersey City, NJ
A technology and analytics firm serving the mobile marketing and communications industries. 
Recruited former President of American Express Open as the CEO, a Chief Product Officer as well as full UEX team. Personally invested in seed round and opened A Round led by Atlas Venture, raising an additional $725,000. Launched Beta in March 2013.
 • Strategy & Vision: Established Gocella as an SMS communications platform that triggers messages based on first or third party data, business rules, data analytics and unique audience modeling.  
 • Technology: Built product specifications for Gocella 1.0 in 2012, architected in HTML5, and back-end tech MySQL database. Released front end application in MVC Embers.js built on Rest API and 2 API products that power call centers with results showing consistent contact rate increases of 35%.  • Benefits: Gocella as an application and service company delivers an engaged one to one mobile engagement agnostic to all marketing channels…from TV to Twitter and be abler to provide SaaS combined with an agency model for SMB to Fortune 100 customers.  
 • Results:  Gocella launched as a fully launched in March 2014 and recorded $1.1 million in sales in 2014. Clients include eMoney Advisor & MetLife.
Data Analytics & Audience Consultant Feb 2015May 2015 Civolution New York, NY
Civolution is  the world leader in real-time TV analytics and TV-synchronized advertising solutions. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Together with Civolution's Head of Product and VP of Product sales to implement 2nd & 3rd Party data sources to accomplish delivering cross device advertising solutions based upon internal and external audience data.
  • In addition Civolution engaged the C-Level team and together we mapped out a datawarehouse and management strategy, software provider, development and 3rd party data integration methods.
Investor & Interim CRO Jan 2013Dec 2014 MobSoc Media San Francisco, CA
MobSoc's publishing network empowers brand marketers to reach their most valuable audiences at an effective cost of acquisition and with a higher rate of engagement via Facebook Channels and Websites.
Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • As interim Chief Revenue Officer, I worked with a small team and the CEO to determine the key verticals for growth on Facebook and Web for MobSoc Media, where we could build properties, sell native ads and improve user engagement by pre-developing, managing and maintaining audiences.
  • The founder and I worked together to help determine the characteristics for the CEO and Head of Business Development. 
  • Assisted in putting together the company's board of directors. 
  • In addition worked with MobSoc Media's founder to refine our fundraising pitch, pitched investor directly, and handled follow up with the founder and team.


  • On boarded clients such as David Stewart (formerly of the Eurythmics), RadioIo, Dollar Days, The Biggest Loser Resorts, James Altucher and  ClaudiaYoga.
  • Working with the founder on the investment strategy and pitch played an instrumental role in raising 5 million dollars in less than one year from POC.

The Fearless Group is a full service advertising agency specializing in collaborating with brands as well as other service providers to deliver unique experiences and goals across multiple media channels.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Vision  -  Develop a social media, mobile marketing for non-native applications and data analytics team. My role was to develop these strategies, processes, hires, and team environment from the ground up working together with some of the other key partners and board members.
  • Sales & Business Development - Assisted the partners and led this new team in prospecting and pitching for new business in the above categories and services which led to closing deal with key clients in the gaming and dating space. 
  • Technology – Co-implemented a platform of service providers to market mobile applications via SDKs and social marketing services, as well as implemented a tracking system and environment for all media and services managed by partners and our new team.
  • Accomplishments - The team and company was able to capture business and become cash flow positive in year 1, the mobile services alone created a gross monthly revenue of $250,000.
    Trained a key employee as well as some partners in running and managing this new team and services built on a platform of data analytics and audience development.
CEO & Co-Founder Nov 1997Sep 2012 Red Clay Media Bayonne, NJ
Red Clay Media was a leading provider of data analytics, direct marketing and direct response services with a core focus in the financial industry.
Played key role in launching and establishing this integrated data solutions provider. Authored business plan and grew the company grass roots with 0 investors. Provided executive leadership for all sales, marketing, and data integration functions. Held full P&L accountability. Managed all major data suppliers. Sourced and developed all Fortune 1000 relationships. Provided oversight of product innovation and development.
  • Scaled revenue from $0 in 1997 to $15 million by 2005; success driven by development of SaaS data management platform strategic partnership with Marketernet capable of delivering marketing automation direct to desktop.
  • Spearheaded $2.5 million revenue increase over 12-month span by establishing relationships with Marketernet, Acxiom, First American Real Estate Solutions and Click Data (later acquired by First American Real Estate Solutions) via the partnership with Marketernet we were able create the 1st online multi credit bureau and demographic marketing solution which included Experian, Equifax and Transunion.
  • Delivered over $3 million in annual revenues by identifying unaddressed needs of key clients, including Merrill Lynch, Acxiom, and H&R Block, and creating and selling solutions. Red Clay was one of the very first to create data products based upon FCRA Compliant Customers
  • Built an internal SQL Database Management Platform with over 200 million records sourced from over 3 suppliers and integrated by validity and performance metrics managed by a statistical team with backgrounds and experience at NASA and Navy Intelligence.
  • Consulted for Marketernet by referring an acquisition.  
  • Open a full service direct mail shop to service clients that once relied on telemarketing but needed to change to direct mail due to Federal Do Not Call Act. 

Some Exciting Key Accomplishments: 
  • Red Clay Media grew to be an 8-figure agency, supporting over 30 sales reps and boasting clients ranging from Sirius Satellite, MetLife, Merrill Lynch, H&R Block, Medical Hair Restoration (Bosley), Kovel Fuller, Delta Funding and a division of Guthy-Renker.  
  • Social Media arrived for marketers and Red Clay ran one of the first ever direct-response ad campaigns on Facebook back in 2008.
  • Red Clay was the subject of a 70 million dollar Fleet Bank radio with advertising campaign with Matt Damon and myself, which reached 10 million listeners daily in 12 States. 
Consulting CSO Sep 2009Dec 2010 Grooveshark Gainesville, FL Grooveshark  was one of the first and leading providers of streaming music.
As the consulting CSO of Grooveshark I was tasked with developing, enhancing, and monetizing the following areas of business: 
  • Ad Operations: Worked closely with CEO & SVP of Sales to create an ad ops team, including processes, procedures and partnerships in data and technology to monetize data and traffic to the site.
  • Business Development:  The team and I met with CEOs and board members of all major label's, publishing partners, and event/artist marketing companies Established a team of external consultants with artist, label, event, and publishing experience, as well as current industry relationships to ensure securing compliant streaming partnerships.
  • Strategy & Execution: The team and developed new revenue streams in ad sales, data sales, audience development, segmentation, supply and demand and behavioral targeting with a key focus on user engagement, music preferences and listening habits. We were able to implement list management from our email files and deliver enhanced targeting with newsletters and updates growing revenue and user experience. 
  • Accomplishments:  Developed high potential Sales Rep into Chief Revenue Officer and assisted in building the processes and sales team to optimize sale of premium and exchange advertising inventory. Resulting in media and data revenue growth from 400K to 15 million annually.
    By forming an ecosystem of ad ops and UEX together we were able increase site visitors from 1.8 million to 50 million over 2 years.
    Together with the CEO I was able to bring in additional music industry veterans as consultants  to form and strengthen partnerships with labels and publishers. We also participated in pitching angel investors resulting in capital investments totaling 250K
