Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, capital needs, and rates. Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product. Act as liaison between sales and manufacturing. Manage challenging customer situation and respond promptly to customer needs. Responsible for creating new customers and maintaining their business.
Along with calling on both commercial are residential customers, is also responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts by regularly contacting entities within my territory. Continually exceed sales goals both quarterly and annually.
District Manager of Retail and Sales Operations
E.C. Barton Company –
for multi-state operations of Surplus Warehouse and Barton's Lumber Company
divisions in Arkansas, Missouri, Texas (Dallas Metro), and Louisiana. Responsibilities included direct oversight of all
aspects of operations for 12 retail locations as well as, training, sales (customer and business to business), expense
control, ongoing profit evaluation, human resources consulting and monthly reporting to
VP of Sales profit/loss margins, inventory management and quality improvement
of all sites.
District Manager for E.C. Barton, 3 stores were consistently highest earning (grossing) locations in entire company while under my supervision (Lafayette, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Grey, LA).
New Store Coordinator
E. C. Barton Company, Corporate office –
new prospective retail locals, estimated take offs for construction build outs of prospective
property, negotiated lease agreements between corporate executives and leasing agencies as well as collaborated with project
managers/vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
Directly involved in the opening of 25 new retail locations, relocation of 4 existing retail operations and resetting of merchandise in 3 additional locations.
Shelter Insurance Company –
Analyzed, evaluated, and settled insurance claims involving automobile material damage losses. Determined value of the physical damage claim and negotiated settlements within prescribed limits of authority, in accordance with established procedures and consistent with legal and contractual obligations. Worked with Body shops, Restoration companies, building material suppliers and various attorneys while reviewing estimates and/or converting estimates.
