Professional Summary

As I had once considered becoming a Benedictine monk (but chose an academic graduate degree instead), I find that in a bar and restaurant environment I can provide a level of service and customer satisfaction that fulfills the old Benedictine vowels of hospitality and service. As a therapist of over 12 years I also have attained an understanding of psychological and sociological content that allows me to engage people with great social awareness. These skills combined with ten years of bartending I believe make me an exceptional bartender in just about any type of place.

Provided drink list that included martinis, prohibition era cocktails, and specialty cocktails (i.e. Vespers, Old Fashions, Hard Ciders, etc.). In regard to brewery selections, educated self on Hop and brewing process to provide descriptions and pairing with food upon serving customers. Significant attention was focused on customer service and experience in regard to food menu descriptions and delivery, as well as the point of making each customer feel welcome and “part of the family” of the establishment. As bar manager, opened and closed drawer for register and coordinated inventory and hired and trained staff.
