   I have been in the service and food industry for over 10 years and have worked for several companies such as the Jazz Kitchen in Down Town Disney, Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, and The Hilton Hotel In Irvine, across the street from the John Wayne Airport.

    I have worked such events as Weddings, Corporate conference, privet parties, as well as the normal business of the hotel restaurant.

    These parties have ranged from 15 guests to over 3000 attendants at our three day events and have lead to over 15 hour shifts.

   With several years of kitchen experience, I have learned several skills such as proper cutting and knife skills, correct cooking temperatures, speed and sense of emergency in the work place, proper hygiene, working as a team player in the kitchen as well as with the front of the house, and the ability to create and display new dishes for daily specials.

   At this location I worked six evening a week for anywhere from 6 to 10 hours a shift. We had a menu with over 75 menu items with anything from hot dogs and hamburger to red wine mussels and surf and turf platters.

   As well as all of our kitchen skills, we also did all of our own prep, expediting of the line, as well as set-up and break down of the kitchen.

   Along with these tasks, we were also responsible for coming up with new recipes and plating ideas.
