Duties In The Assessment Center

  • Provides strong support to the Assessment Center Program Manager by working with all levels of staff within and outside the organization specifically about the VI-SPDAT/CAST, intake process, assessments, case management, scheduling of crisis interventions, and agency policies and procedures.
  • Helps with recruitment, training,  and scheduling of staff work hours.
  • Helps in overseeing interns and volunteers..
  • Assists in overseeing timely entry of the VI-SPDAT/CAST.
  • In-charge of the Assessment Center filing system.
  • In-charge of the Written Battery of Assessments and screening for suicide risk..
  • Ability to conduct VI-SPDAT/CAST, psychosocial, recommend team and track placements, and provide case management services.
  • Represents the Assessment Center in the team leaders meeting and bi-weekly meeting with the residential supervisors.

Duties in the Administration

  • Provides strong support to the Social Services Program Managers by minimizing agency expenses through proper inventory and ordering of office supplies.
  • Prepares variety of correspondences, reports, and other documentations such as meeting minutes and memorandum of agreement.
  • Maintains several types of agency calendars such as assessments, meetings, and important events.
  • Coordinates room and food arrangements during training including creation and dissemination of training materials.
  • Greets visitors and callers and handles inquiries.
  • Helps at Agency fairs and Village tours.

Duties in the Speech and Language Department

  • Provides strong support to the Therapeutic Child Care Program Manager by reaching the projected treatment outcomes.
  • Attends Multi-Disciplinary and Practice Partners meetings.
  • In-charge of the intake process.
  • Uses motivational interviewing to encourage parents to bring their children to the speech and language therapy.
