To obtain a position with Yancey County schools as a classroom teacher, or a position in a similar area preferable in the area of Reading as I plan to obtain my Reading Specialist License within the next year. Educational Philosophy My educational philosophy consists of believing that children are today's tomorrow. I believe that every child has a "God given" gift or strength. We as educators must find their gifts and build upon them. Every child is capable of learning, and every child has a unique way of learning. As an educator I strive to bond with my students and realize that each one is as important as anyone else, and it is our job and duty to treat them that way and to find ways of delivering education in a way that fits the needs of each student. Personal Information:
My future goals consist in becoming a Licensed Reading Specialist. This has been an interest of mine for a few years now and when I went back into the classroom this past year and participated in the reading testing and progress monitoring, with the Reading 3-D mclass program, I realized this is my next educational objective.
